The fastest way to refill your prescriptions
Mercy Medical Group is the leader in the Sacramento area for managing prescriptions through our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. In collaboration with many local pharmacies, Mercy Medical Group uses the EMR system to improve prescribing safety and efficiency for our patients.
As a Mercy Medical Group patient, what should you do?
- Plan ahead! Prescriptions with zero refills may take up to four (4) days to get approval
- Call your local pharmacy when you need to get a prescription refilled or to renew a prescription
- Ask your pharmacy to send refill requests from computer-to-computer for faster response and to minimize handwriting errors
- Call the pharmacy and check to make sure your prescription is ready before you pick it up
If you experience delays in getting your refills authorized, please ask your doctor to recommend a pharmacy that uses e-prescribing (computer-to-computer).
Starting August 2009, Mercy Medical Group is collaborating with Raley's and Bel Air pharmacies to make the refill process quicker and more accurate.
